Brussels sprouts with cream and bacon

  • 500 gr. of brussels sprouts (18 oz.)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 80 gr. of onions (3 oz.)
  • 150 gr. of smoked bacon cubes (5.3 oz.)
  • 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
  • pepper
  1. Bring some water to a boil with one teaspoon of salt.
  2. Wash brussels sprouts with fresh cold water removing any dirt or dust. Remove outer leaves that do have blemishes.
  3. Put brussels sprouts into boiling water for 10 minutes. Sieve and reserve.
  4. Brussels sprouts with cream and bacon
  5. Peel and slice onions.
  6. Brown onions. smoked bacon cubes and brussels sprouts for few minutes. Add heavy cream and pepper, leave to cook a bit more monitoring cooking process and serve immediately.
